and so it begins...
I am about a week and a half out from the MTC. And so I thought it would be great to write down how I got here. Serving a mission was something I said I would love to do, but I would never do. And yet, here I am about to leave for one of the most beautiful places in the world...Quito, Ecuador. Deciding to serve was definitely not the easiest choice. It took a lot of prayerful nights with my Heavenly Father, and a lot of advice from the ones I love. For anyone trying to make that hard decision- my mom gave me that best advice. I was trying to choose between taking time off of school and doing something with dance, or serving a mission. I kept asking Heavenly Father what to do...but my mom explained that Heavenly Father lets us choose. So instead of asking him what to do, make a decision and then go to him. If it is the wrong decision, he will let you know. And if it is right, you will no longer feel confusion, but instead you will feel peace. Oh Shel- she always gives the best advice...what a gem. I have never been more excited and anxious for an experience in my entire life. I'm ready to work hard, serve hard, play hard, & pray hard. I'm ready for Q U I T O.
